Digital Signs is a framework for the deaf and hearing-impaired community to share their stories locally and globally; through motion capture and augmented reality technologies.

Aura collaborated with c21 Theatre Company and local deaf performance artist Paula Clarke to create a method for collecting and curating stories from the deaf community. These stories, conveyed through sign language, were captured using motion capture technology and displayed via a mobile augmented reality app for Android and iOS.

The first story told is that of Francis Maginn, who worked to improve living standards for the deaf community in Belfast by promoting sign language.
